In a shockingly sophisticated way, Israel has carried out an deadly operation against the Hezbollah group and resulted in death of 37 people and injuring over 3000 people in Lebanon. The people who suffered from the attack also included many civilians. The attacks had been conducted on 17-18 September, but majority of the intel is being hid by both the parties.

Even though Israel has not clarified anything behind the attack, Lebanese officials have pointed onto Israel Intelligence agency MOSSAD as the hand behind the attack.

How was the attack conducted?

As the war escalated the Israeli intelligence had deployed their computing software to spy on Hezbollah officials which worked perfectly in favor of the Israeli Army. The core of Hezbollah was being getting compromised, that is why Hezbollah chief decided to use ‘Pagers’ for communicating as they cannot be intercepted because they work on the mechanism of radio- frequency. When Israel intelligence got to know about this, they thought of a very sophisticated plan to supply these pagers to the Hezbollah forces but with explosives in it.

For this, they used a shell company named BAC consulting to manufacture these pagers and also signed a legal contract with Taiwanese manufacturer ‘Gold Apollo’. They signed the contract for using the brand name and image of Gold Apollo so they could sell the pagers without suspicion.

Reaction on the attack

Hezbollah’s chief, Hassan Nasrallah has announced a investigation that will be deeply investigate the attack and search for the parties responsible. Also, the morale of the Hezbollah forces has dropped due these series of attacks on them through normal pagers.

The UN has condemned the attack on the pretext of violation of human rights. Even, the human rights’ chief Volker Türk was alarmed and warned on the weaponizing communication devices.
